Rise,

I am reading one right now. I don't agree with it all but it has helped me better understand myself and my ego.

I am sure Nav, all of us can help each other to overcome weaknesses. Desire to improve and learn has to be coupled with 'action'.

Hi Rise,
This is a good article and it motivates the new writers like me to keep working and exploring ways to express without thinking about the reactions of public actions and freely express my thoughts. That should help me to get even good criticism also and I can improve myself.
Thanks

Steve,
I started Walden long back but could never finish it. But I got the summary. Simplify is the message.
Self-acceptance is really tough. It doesn't end at admitting our weaknesses. It takes more than that. It clashes with ego every now and then. I still have a long way to go I guess. Can you suggest some books other than Walden to read?

Thanks for the mention and the link...

Yeah, some people did ridicule me for writing that piece. I ran it by my wife and others before I published it.

I decided to post it because I felt it could help other people. I also published it because I wanted to express that part of my being. Was it somewhat self-indulgent? yes... but most blogging is. Hell... Thoreau's Walden is entirely self-indulgent and it is one the greatest American literary books ever written.

I don't believe in denying weaknesses. Embrace them for what they are... you. Embracing your weaknesses is self-acceptance.

Keep doing what you do, and be real... even if it costs you... being fake will cost you more in the long run.
